About Bryan Bayley
My philosophy:
The importance of building an environment that encourages the acceptance, respect and dignity of each and every member of society is a founding personal philosophy that guides me through all aspects of my personal life and my career choices.
Having had the unique opportunity to guide others in reaching their potential musically, emotionally, and spiritually fuels my drive to play and grow as a performer and mentor.
Through the medium of music, I strive to meet these goals through self-expression, while searching for autonomy and individualized authenticity.
The empowerment and growth I have been witness to invigorate the passion I feel towards my specialized field of expertise.
My work experience:
I've been playing music professionally for the past thirty years. During this time, I've worked with many different bands and played solo throughout Canada.
I am a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, harmonica, banjo, mandolin & ukulele) and an accomplished songwriter with three CDs to my credit.
I've played to a variety of audiences including patrons of cafes, bars, hospitals, schools and folk festivals as well as for memorial services. But my experience does not halt at the performance level — I have conducted songwriting workshops with seniors, adults, teens and children of all abilities.
Growing up with two brothers and a foster sister who have cerebral palsy I have been given the gift of seeing the world empathetically, through other eyes.
